Since May, the citizens of Ústí nad Labem and Mělník can meet the ENVItech Bohemia's measuring truck in the streets of their town, which collects air data within the TENT AIR project. Four locations in Ústí have already collected samples and the truck has moved to the last location in Neštěmice. Similarly, Mělník, where the summer season of measurements will be completed at the Na Podolí site. The village of Zdiby, which is also involved in the project, will see the start of measurements in mid-October 2022.
"Now that the project is in full swing, it is important to be in regular contact with all representatives of the cities involved. For example, in Ústí, which is the largest in terms of area, we are not only meeting with experts from the municipality, but we are also encouraging all four city districts to actively communicate. In short, everyone who has something to contribute to the project is welcome. Our intention is that the action plans that will be the final output of the project will be in line with the real needs of the cities themselves and their strategic plans." Reveals Mgr. Jana Panáčková from Getbizdone s.r.o., the coordinator of the project and continues:
"The public will not be excluded from the project either. We are preparing open days for both cities in September. In Mělník, they will be held on Saturday, 10 September from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Náměstí Míru. In Ústí on Thursday 22 September from 9 am to 3 pm at Lidice Square. Those interested will be able to see the measuring technology, learn what immissions can occur in the air and what methods can detect them. We will be happy to answer any questions. Children will be able to try out some of the measurements.
We will organise similar events for students from the participating towns during the school year and the municipality of Zdiby will also hold an open day in October.
